Last week's episode totally AU'ed my Big Bang (more than it would have been already, what with writing God and Lucifer and the Apocalypse). Totally. Ruby and Uriel play parts in the Big Bang that, aargh, don't work with the information given.

And now... I am having so much trouble finding motivation to write this up. My cosmology is so screwed up.

I am a HUGE fan of AU (I am writing one) so I say go for it, everything you liked in the ep that you can play up do so and everything that is not working in canon, manipulate it so that it fits your story.

Don't worry about it. Just keep writing your own story.

Essentially every fanfic is AU. None of it will ever be canon. Write the story that you began, and to heck with canon.

Just keep writing :).
