She sits daydreaming, poking the remainder of her salad with her fork, while her unnies discuss the details of their respective schedules. There is quite a bit of excitement, considering the upcoming release of another TaeTiSeo effort, but Seohyun sits quietly, while no one seems to notice. Then again, she isn't an overly expressive girl, so her silence is to be expected.

Today's discussions relate to the girls' many public engagements, however conversations eventually veer into the topic of boyfriends. Tiffany, Soo Young, Yoona, and Taeyeon all smile sheepishly to themselves at the expression of envy from the other members, who let the tantrums and tirades run their course before jumping in to say that having a boyfriend is overrated. The other girls know they are just saying it to make them feel better, but they appreciate the effort, despite not having a single ounce of truth to their words of consolation.

For Seohyun, she is part of neither faction. She and Yonghwa aren't "together", but they are exclusive, somewhat, despite her unnies labeling what they have as a relationship.

"We're not together, unnie," she will tell her unnies.

"So, you're free to date then?" they will then ask with no hesitation. Seohyun is always speechless, to which her unnies leap at the opportunity to badger her to define what she and Yonghwa have.

"I'm not interested. Besides, why is it important to label us?"

They shrug their shoulders and say, "Why not? You two already are and have been together longer than any of the others' relationships. Besides, you two live in the same complex. Are you saying it's strictly platonic between you two?"

No matter how much she prepares, she can never come up with a satisfactory answer, and in the end, her unnies will laugh, as she stammers and stumbles to unsuccessfully defend her position before moving on to the next topic.

Yonghwa has adored Seohyun for almost a third of his life. He has from the first day he saw her in the salon with her red framed glasses, reading a book, while she got her hair and make up done, but being that they are both in good places in their careers, they know it's best to keep things nebulous. Nothing definitive, nothing overtly obvious. Like her, he has endured his fair share of nagging about he and Seohyun, but unlike her, he has perfected the art of parrying any and all questioning, while masterfully diverting attention to other topics. The only one quick enough on his feet to stick to the topic is Jungshin, who manages to stay on point.

"Going back to FNC?" Jonghyun asks on occasional nights, as Yonghwa manages to get to the foyer, hoping to leave without garnering attention. He turns on his heels to answer.

"Yup, a few more songs I'm working on."

"Hmm... don't overdo it, hyung. Get some rest."

He nods and slips out the door, saying he'll be back when he's done. All the members know where he's headed and Yonghwa had hoped they, like her unnies, would've given up by now, inquiring on their status, but alas, they too are relentless. Jonghyun bringing to light his sneaking off in the middle of the night is the subtle way of letting his hyung know that they're still onto him.

The other members of CNBlue, like the girls of SNSD, find every opportunity to nag him until he breaks, which he never does.

Minhyuk starts off the inquisition. "Did you see that pretty girl in the new girl group? She looks like your type,"

He never asks which one theyʻre referring to, perhaps out of respect for Seohyun or just because he doesn't care, but instead, he shrugs his shoulders and says nonchalantly, "Maybe one of you should ask her out. No. Scratch that. Go to your rooms and practice."

"Oh, that's right... You're already with someone," Jungshin says, taking over for Minhyuk, since he is the only one who can push boundaries with the leader.

"I'm not."

"Then what about Seohyun?"

"What about Seohyun?"

"We all know you sneak over to her villa."

"What are you talking about? Sneaking out?"

"I mean, you leaving in the middle of the night and not coming back until morning. Doing the walk of shame."

"Walk of shame? Walk of shames are for one-night stands."

"Oh, okay, got it." Jungshin says smugly, smirking at his hyung. In a few seconds Yonghwa realizes that his dongsaeng just got him to draw more definitive lines between he and Seohyun.

She returns home from time with her unnies with furrowed brow and Yonghwa instantly recognizes the look.
"You survived another round of badgering, I see" he says, chuckling at her expression and immediately pulling her into his arms. Whatever it is they have, living together in the same villa, she is happy to keep it all from them. Besides, it really isn't anyone's business, but theirs and they are perfectly content with keeping things as they have been all these years.

On recent nights, she is sitting in bed, reading a book when he shuffles in after filming.

"Omo! I didn't even hear you come in!" she exclaims, closing and placing the book on the night stand, then moving toward him to retrieve his bag. She places it on the armchair and guides him to sit down on the bench at the foot of the bed. "You must've had a long day. Go take a shower and I'll meet you in the kitchen. I'll heat up your..."

He doesn't let her finish her thought. He guides her to stand between his legs and wraps his arms around her waist, then rests his head against her tummy.

"This is nice," he murmurs.

"But oppa,"

He cuts her off. "Don't move."

They stay like that for a few minutes and it feels like like a beautiful lifetime.

At the end of their first filming, Seohyun stood against a wall, after turning the corner in the lobby and after waving goodnight to Yonghwa. The size of her backpack kept her a leaning entirely from the wall, but it was good enough. Her heart was racing and she felt flushed. Never before had she felt this way in the presence of other guys. Sure, her label brothers were nice, but she never felt like this with any of them. What was it about Yonghwa oppa that had her mesmerized?

Yonghwa climbed into his awaiting van, shutting out the mindless chatter between the coordi noonas and his manager. He saw his reflection in the rear view mirror and didn't recognize the goofy grin he had on his face. He hadn't seen it in years, not since he first started dating his ex-girlfriend. Yet, there was something different about this time. With the other girls he had dated, he had never envisioned a future with them. With Seohyun, he could imagine being married to her and sharing a life together.

And in the same moment, they both realized it was love and it was enough for each of them to simply recognize and surrender to it. No labels, no cheesiness, just love, sweet new love.
