Excellent dinners two nights in a row? I'm going to die.

I don't know what I did to deserve these last meals, but I will face my impending death with honor. ... Because it's too good to be true. Something's wrong. I must be dying or something. Tonight was a small meatloaf (who doesn't like meatloaf?!) with green onions, brown rice (I LOVE BROWN RICE) and mixed vegetables. The peas were green, which made ( Read more... )

Florida isn't supposed to be blue in that picture, either (technically)! I think, even as of this morning, we're still too close to call because absentee and provisional ballots are still being counted or some shit. DAMMIT, FLORIDA. But it's nice that the entire election doesn't hinge on us THIS TIME.

Mato told me a few weeks ago that Arizona is a red state, which is one of the ONLY things I'm a little sad about because being a big swing state is pretty awesome, TBH. I was legitimately shocked when Obama won FL four years ago because we were red the previous 2 elections (and I didn't pay attention to elections before 2000 since I was too young to care). It was then that I realized what a "swing state" was. It's neat.

But my stupid county still remains red. OH WELL!

Yeah, all the polls showed Florida as leaning towards blue all night, and it wasn't counted in Obama's 303, so even if Romney takes it, it doesn't matter. But seriously, Florida, get your act together! Either swing one way or the other, or get rid of whatever antiquated system you're using to count because everyone else is done. :<

Yup, Arizona's red, and they've got a thing against brown people (if you ever feel like killing a good mood, go look up how Arizona politicians want to handle immigration and women's rights and stuff). They also don't observe DST (with the exception of the Hopi Nation, I think, in the northeast), so they're obviously some crazy bastards to begin with. XD

Yeah, about DST - I asked Mato and he said it's likely because it's so fucking hot in Arizona that the hour difference won't save very much energy at all, so fuck it. He used to be able to tell what time it was just by looking at the position of the sun in the sky, but since he moved to FL with DST, he lost that ability. I hope he gets it back!

I can tell the time by the sun, too (within an error of about 20 minutes)! It's a fun ability. Is Mato originally from Arizona?
