"Pain is weakness leaving the body" is actually what I've said to myself a few times last week ever since I read it on your FB post. I love that so much, because it's absolutely true (unless it's not true, but in this case it's true).
Cardio for myself, I loved doing DDR until my dance mats broke. It's pretty hard to find a good, decent-quality mat now that Red Octane is out of business. But maybe other dancing games would satisfy you? Stuff for Wii or Kinect. I know you probably don't have either of those systems, though, just throwing ideas out.
But anyway, that's just more dancing. I also use an exercise bike, which is a pretty big expense and a pain in the ass to put together, and something you might not be able to fit in your room. Um

Thanks for the suggestions! Running still seems like my best bet, since it doesn't require equipment, I can't swim and we have a gardener to do our yard work. XD Whoops.
