I want to live in a state where
•medical assistance is provided, free of charge, to people in life-threatening situations.
•pro-choice is a choice, even if I don't agree with yours.
•any two consenting adults can get married and have kids.
•you have your religion (or not) and I have mine (or not) and neither of us gives a shit about the other's.
•the rent ain't too damn high.
•you can comfort a stranger.
•people can actually speak their minds.
•everyone does what they love, and loves what they do.
•good, healthy food isn't absurdly expensive.
•my vote matters.
•public schools are just as good as private schools.
•adults can be children every once in a while.
•em-jay is oh-kay. I'm pretty uneducated on the matter, so I would like to learn more from people on both sides. I think I lean towards what's crossed out, though.
•I don't have to worry about people in the other forty-nine being fucking retards and making my country look bad.
•I'm probably not missing a couple of things on this list.
