Well, the unis I have spoken to so far mostly say my lack of maths qualifications make it unlikely that I'll get a place.

This leaves me with a few options:

I would say either option one (the foundation year) or option two (self-studying.) I think the drawbacks you've identified for the other options probably rule those out as good long-term choices, even though they would definitely be easier options in the short term
