Well I've finished the draft of my personal statement. I think it's not too bad, but if anybody has any input that'd be great. There's more stuff I could have put in, but I reached the word limit

I rode the world's longest single span cable car for the first time today! :D
This is awesome. The only thing I would consider adding is something like this:
"While I find my current job extremely rewarding and enjoyable, I am also very conscious that without further qualifications it will be hard for me to expand beyond the scope of the kind of designs I am producing now. I am keen to continue making progress both in my own career and in my knowledge of design, construction and engineering, and a civil engineering degree would be the ideal way for me to do this."
This just adds a bit of extra explanation to help them make sense of the "I love my job, but am willing to pack it in to go back to Uni" dichotomy.
