I was influenced by a bumper sticker.

Last weekend, I went up to drop my laptop off to Ryan & Andy at the markets to get it all cleaned up and de-virused when I got stuck behind a ute with a bumper sticker on the back saying something along the lines of it only taking x-number of minutes for a dog to die when locked in a hot car, and that the temperature can double in five (?) minutes ( Read more... )

wtf was that "human" thinking? would he like to be in a coffin for 20mins in a 31 degree environment? no! why do the same for a helpless creature?

bet you would somehow notice the dog since you are a dog person yourself but i am double proud of you for taking some serious action and save the poor little one *thanx to the bumper sticker*

Ohhh it's a bumper sticker campaigning for our current Prime Minister. Everyone thought it was hilarious that his name rhymed with the year :P

Good on you for actually taking some action.

I always worry about these things and stress so much when I see dogs out on the street etc.

Being a dog lover obviously does make you more aware and people who think it's okay to leave a dog out like that should be banned from owning a dog/or animal!

Definitely, did you see that scrag who got arrested or what have you for leaving her dogs in the car on the Gold Coast? How on earth was she even considered to have those dogs returned to her!?

I didn't see that, glad I didn't too I would probabaly be in tears reading it.

I think that a law should be bought in about animal ownership and in order to be able to own an animal you must do some sort of course or something... i dont know.. too many people own animals that shouldn't and either don't look after them properly/or abandon/give them up.

I feel so strongly now since I got my pug from a rescue service. She is the sweetest most adorable thing ever and I can't believe someone gave her up. Makes me so mad! I guess though I won out in the end getting her, and I can say with complete confidence she has an amazing life now (spoilt rotten!)

Definitely agree with you on the course. I just can't believe some horror stories I hear about pets, it's heartbreaking.

Awww :) I'm so glad about your pug! I wanted to get our next dog from the pound but my stupid brother went out and bought a puppy from a pet store. I reeally wanted to get an abandoned one...
