Gwendal had left the castle when his powers had mysteriously returned, after they had mysteriously disappeared. He had returned to his family's castle in Voltaire/Walde (depending on the translation). The culprit behind so many terrorist activities was dead and he needed a break

He rode into the capitol alone, with a hood drawn over his hair and concealing his face. He wondered if he should have come sooner, or waited longer. There had been a plan, and his double was in the castle now, playing his part. A surge of jealousy made his hands clench on the reigns. Wolf had better not extend that act to the king’s bedroom

No monsters lately, other than a murderess and her stooge that was so lust with her that he'd follow her to hell and beyond. And a cyborg that wants to kill our king because of some protocol in his internal harddrive and he only listens to Anissina. Relationships coming and going amongst the castle inhabitants. Mother lamenting that she doesn't have a castle full of grandchildren from her three sons."

Gwendal cleaned his hands off on his napkin and then reached over the table to ruffle Wolfram's hair. "It's good to have you back. Perhaps the son with the child will make her forget about the failure on my part to provide grandchildren."
