Day 95

Oct 03, 2012 13:41

Gwendal had left the castle when his powers had mysteriously returned, after they had mysteriously disappeared. He had returned to his family's castle in Voltaire/Walde (depending on the translation). The culprit behind so many terrorist activities was dead and he needed a break ( Read more... )

Bert felt a million times better today than yesterday. He was up early, careful not to wake up Gisela as he got out of bed, and ready to work out. He'd been lazy the past few days and he was feeling rather gross. He decided he'd stick with cardio today and go back to weights later.

He was running the large lap around the castle when he noticed Gwendal coming up the pathway. He debated with the thought of apologizing for flooding everything, but then again, Gwendal knocked him out, which was pretty uncool. Regardless, he did stop and wait for the horse to pass by before he'd continue on.

(going to be super slow after tomorrow night. feel free to log with others instead :D)

Gwendal slowed down his horse, Cinnamon once he noticed Bert nearby. He seemed to be training in a run on the grounds and he didn't appear drenched in anything other than a normal amount of sweat.

"I see you have recovered from your bought of powers." Gwendal's own jaw was still a bit sore. He'd used ice to remedy the bruising not wanting to bother Gisela with more advanced healing after he'd knocked her boyfriend unconscious.

He fought the urge to touch the item in his satchel to make sure it was still there. He knew it was, but it was a hard impulse to ignore.

"Any new crises happen while I was out?"

"Yeah. They're gone. And they can stay gone too."

He thought for a minute and shook his head. "Not that I know of. I was laid up yesterday though." And since he was now thinking of the day before, he thought about the bath and started to feel a bit inadequate. "We ran into your girlfriend in the bath. Gisela seemed to talk to her a while. I fell asleep where the clothes and stuff are. She's kinda scary though. How do you tolerate that?"

The corner of Gwendal's mouth twitched in amusement. "She can be scary, but can you think of anyone other than me that might be scary enough to deal with her?"

"You fell asleep in the clothes closet? You must have been very exhausted."

He rode into the capitol alone, with a hood drawn over his hair and concealing his face. He wondered if he should have come sooner, or waited longer. There had been a plan, and his double was in the castle now, playing his part. A surge of jealousy made his hands clench on the reigns. Wolf had better not extend that act to the king’s bedroom ( ... )

Gwendal felt a lightness in his heart upon hearing his baby brother's voice. If there was one person in his family whom Gwendal loved, it was Wolfram--even when he was a brat. (It could be that Gwendal was reminded of his own personality when he was in one of his moods in his younger years)

Coupling fire nature and being a teenager without doubt with lead to a short temper, and he was impressed with his brother's ability to keep it in check, most of the time.

"Wolfram!" he called out and raised his hand in a welcoming gesture. "How fairs your travels?"

Wolfram frowned and looked distractedly at the castle, then back at Gwendal with a faint nod. "Well enough. I didn't run into any trouble." Not on the road, anyway. Back at his uncle's was another matter. And he didn't know what was going on here.

"Is everything alright here?" He noticed Gwendal's horse, and that it seemed he had been traveling as well. "Or would you know? Are you just arriving?"

Gwendal was curious about where Wolfram had been. He hasn't been aware of him having plans to leave the castle when last he saw him.

"I spent the past few days taking care of some family business in Voltaire. Things had briefly become calm when I took my leave."

Gwendal gaged the distance to Blood Pledge.

"Would you join me for lunch? I would like to hear of your latest news."
