Day 79 Late Morning/Early Afternoon: Hunt for the Water Thief

Aug 10, 2011 23:59

Hube stood where he was holding the strange parchment in his hands. It was written in language he didn’t know and Nyssa was busy analyzing it and would provide a summary soon. Therefore it simply appeared that he was standing in the middle of the hallway completely still in full battle gear.

He was like a statue. All attempts at getting a reaction ( Read more... )

Making his way down the hall, Gunter couldn't help but notice the man standing there and the words of a few guards speaking in whisper. He quickly observed the man and despite how odd(?) he seemed, there was no doubt that he appeared as none other than Gegenhuber. Perhaps this was the double he had heard of from the others and had meant to speak with him at some point. However, the situation seemed a bit strange. A slight concern coming on, Gunter decided to approach the group of men.

"Is something the matter?" He calmly voiced himself.

Yes Hube was very odd. He was wearing a long black leather coat and had a wide rimmed hat. His shoulder seemed to be slightly out of proportion as though there was some sort of device attached under the coat. He had the same eye-patch and possibly similar disposition from the hard-nosed stance he displayed at the moment ( ... )

He carefully listened to the guards and then glanced at the man. Why was he simply standing there and stubborn enough to cause harm to the guards? Gunter gave a stern expression and gestured the guards to stand back. "Please calm yourselves and get treated for those injuries. I will handle this."

As he was about to speak, the mazoku raised a brow to what he was told. What in the world...

"What need is there for you to stand here, Gegenhuber? You are obstructing the path and disrupting the duties of these guards by doing so, not to forget the injuries you have inflicted on these men as well. Now please tell me your reason." Gunter firmly ordered.

“They are interfering in Karbelnikof business. I am analyzing the situation.” Gegenhuber stated in the same flat monotone. “Their injuries are minor. Permanent damage was not caused. They will live. At the request of Shibuya, Shouri I have not killed anyone.” His eye was fixed now in a particular direction. Anyone who knew anything about the lay of the land would know that the direction was the Tomb of the Great One. “That creation of Shibuya, Yuuri must be destroyed. I will do so as soon analysis is complete.”

Oh Shinou, you are far too obvious with your pranks sometimes.

Murata sighed wearily. Really, it's just too much coincidence that the one time he decides to go on a little fun trip with Wolf he receives a letter saying something about some monster in the Shrine and that the maidens really miss him. Which of course could only mean that a lot of 'work that only strong, handsome men like you can handle, Geika' awaited him, he'd suspected.

And of course, he'd been right.

He sighed again. He was trapped surrounded by beautiful maidens, all of which had some favor or other to ask him. He was more than aware that all of these 'favors' were mostly to get a chance to talk to him. Really, how many unopened jars were there in that Shrine? Surely those big heavy boxes did not need to be relocated so urgently. Ah, well...he would comply. At least the girls were pretty, and he could keep his old flirting techniques from getting rusty ( ... )

"Geika, I'm so pleased you decided to come. We've missed you."

Ulrike of course left aside how pleased she was that Wolf was not at Geika's side.

Though she did not hesitate to offer him a smile and mention politely, "If you are worried about Lord Wolf, he's really doing rather well. He's quite furious, but he hasn't come this way yet. Lord Conrart is taking care of him. Their auras are together."

"Lord Gunter and that person who resembles Gegenhuber are heading to the catacombs below to take care of that beast. Would you please come with me?"

She gestured forward.

(OOC: I know you're busy, just tossing in Ulrike)
