After having some dinner and retiring to his room, Shouri decided to practice his maryoku skills. He knew he was getting better but he also knew he needed more practice. "You'd best keep inside." Julia had one hand on the wall for support, but didn't appear much rattled by the tremors racing down the hall. "Though the safest place might be outside. I don't know if I want to be here if the whole thing comes down."

"It feels as though someone has lost control of their maryoku. Very dangerous." She smiled innocently and gently pushed him back into his room. She could feel his magic lingering just beyond the doorway. "One should be very careful with their abilities, especially when they are first learning them. Don't you agree?"

"All right...," he looked at her face for a moment before doing as he had before, concentrating on the water in the bowl, which began to swirl. It did little else as he seemed to now have trouble concentrating.
