Murata had heard the news of the arrival of the Princess, but before going to greet the arriving group he decided to go look for Wolf. He went to check the infirmary first; he had a feeling that after a whole night spent outdoors that would be the first place Wolf would go to.
"Wolf, you're back!" Wolf looked a bit disheveled and rather uneasy, but that didn't stop a big relieved happy grin from forming on Murata's face.
Wolf’s dark expression lifted. He was so pleased to see Geika’s smile his heart did a little flip-flop in his chest. He pushed himself away from the wall and limped over to Murata. “Yes, in one piece, as promised.” He whispered tiredly.
“I overdid it a bit.” He admitted with a sigh. “I really need a bath, but I need to get this taken care of first. I’m sorry.” he stumbled slightly and grimaced in annoyance.
He had so many things he needed to tell Murata but he didn’t know where to start. “Everything’s fine, we have the stones. A Princess from the River Demon Tribe took them to get Yuuri’s attention.” He rattled off but he didn’t care about that, that’s not what needed to be said.
He swallowed the fear, and squared his shoulders in determination. “Ken, I don’t know if there is ever going to be a right time to say this and I don’t want to waste another moment.
In that moment, he dared to cup Geika’s cheeks with his hands and stepped forward to claim a kiss.
All the things Wolf said Murata had already guessed to some extent and rather accurately. It had been to get Yuuri's attention. It had been the Princess from the River Demon Tribe after all.
And Wolf did love him.
"Wolf..."
Hearing Wolf actually say those last few words now of all times had been something that Murata could have never seen coming. It took him a moment to register it, but as soon as it did he made sure to lean in and give Wolf a very passionate kiss.
When they separated he finally managed to whisper "I love you too." Then he spoke with a content tone and a smirk on his face. "Well, it looks like your little trip was rather eventful."
Though Murata had certainly enjoyed Wolf's confession, it had been a rather sudden one...a little too sudden and unexpected. It gave him the feeling that maybe something was a little off. Definitely something must have happened to get Wolf to act this way so suddenly. And the scent on Wolf wasn't helping much either

Wolf was torn between being elated and feeling utterly wretched. He felt himself drown in the kiss he received from Murata and wish that he could forget about everything else. He rested his head on Murata’s shoulder, supporting himself on one leg while his arms slid around his lover’s shoulders and he held on. ... and the way he did was almost a little too desperately. As if he was afraid Ken might vanish or something
