Day 73: Early Afternoon: Shrine of the Four Stones.

Apr 16, 2011 20:45

A quiet procession arrived at the gates of the village and news of their arrival had quickly traveled to the castle. The Princess of the River Demon Tribe! The stones had been found. Confusion and relief were spreading quickly about the village and they had already gathered by the temple waiting for the procession to stop that way first ( Read more... )

At the castle the news of the princesses arrival, the stones being found and the missing Maoh being along with the group was spreading quickly. There had been a scream ringing throughout the castle when a certain blond heard the news. And a rush of wind as said blond wasted no time in running to his horse to make his way to the shrine.

Wolfram had gone to find Yuuri after his speech, but all he had found was a note. A useless note which didn't even tell where the other had ran off too. Needless to say Wolfram was fuming.

Once he caught sight of the group he jumped off his horse and marched towards his victim. "Yuuri!" A few people turned to see where all the commotion was coming from. "Where in Shinou have you been?!"

I've looked through most of the threads, so i kind of know what's going on :') correct me if i go wrong :3

They had arrived at the temple with nothing short of speed. Yuuri knew the dignitaries would be a day late but whether that meant morning or night he had no clue. So when they arrived at the shrine just before noon he was relieved ( ... )

"Yes, i got your letter!" He took the crushed up piece of paper out of his pocket to show Yuuri. Wolfram had reread it several times, wishing Yuuri had let him come along to keep him safe, rather than just running off. "But it didn't help much; you didn't even tell me where you were going. How am i suppose to find you if you don't tell me that."

His eyes flickered to the princess and a stab of jealous hit him, which faded as he took in Yuuri's grin. Why did the other have to be so cute! He sighed, "What are you smiling about?"

"Well I didn't want you to worry or follow me. Wolfy was with me the whole time, you can ask him I wasn't cheating on you." If Wolfram wouldn't take his other selfs word for it then Yuuri wasn't sure what else would work. "Beside, I'm safe now. This princess is very important so don't be rude to her." Not that Wolfram was one to be rude. "It's a...delicate situation, long story short she has a word in with the Salamanders, we don't want to make her mad."

He'd have to explain the rest of the situation later, right now he had to get the stones back in their spot at the shrine then off to the castle.

Gunter rode behind the princess, the stones and statue arms on his horse to make sure they were safe. He was having a lot of fun with the princess the night before even if he didn't get to have they type of fun he usually would have enjoyed. But a good time flirting was had, and he learned an interesting game. Though, he was still very exhausted and quite likely to pass out as soon as he reached the castle. But first, these needed to be returned, the Maou would reassure everyone was happy, and hopefully the princess would apologize for causing a ruckus.

The princess looked somewhat surprised when a Wolfram left and another one arrived shortly after looking entirely fresher and he wasn’t limping ( ... )

Wolfram's arrival just put the entire operation in a state of near jeopardy. She was an intelligent woman and anything he said might make the situation worse. He simply shrugged and luckily the priest had interrupted and caught their attention.

Gunter looked up at the priest with an anxious expression hoping he'd stop on his own, but when the princess retorted, he let out a sigh. "Princess, it's just his way of showing his frustration about the statue and the stones. Once the maou addresses the situation and the stones are returned, I'm sure he'll have a change of heart."

Yuuri was about to reply when he heard the priest. It wasn't hard to miss his outburst but his anxiety grew when the princess retorted back. The tension between the two was growing and Yuuri knew that hoping it would lead to hugs of forgiveness was too much to ask for.

"Now now," He began with a nervous laugh, giving Wolframs hand a squeeze before moving out of his grip to ease the princesses presence. "She is here as my guest so please treat her well."

"But she also came here to return the stones of her own will." Yuuri eyed the princess, he knew he hadn't talked to her about apologizing to the villagers just yet but now seemed like the best time. "There was a reason she did what she did...I think a nice girl as herself already feels guilty about it. Your village had nothing to do with what happened to her people it was just to get my attention. But the village was involved in the process of fixing the situation. So for that I take some responsibility and I'm sorry." Yuuri gave his own sorries first. He could only hope she'd follow
