Perhaps that was the key to a healthy relationship? Being able to provide for the person's emotional and physical needs?
"Good morning, Anissina," he said softly watching her stand before his mirror and brushing out her hair. "Did you sleep well?" She looked mighty fine in nothing but his t-shirt and her undies.

Satisfied enough with the results his brush (she should get him a better one, really), she sighed and turned to face him, still with a frown. "We should let Heika know that Gunter is no longer here. And it might be good to find out what's going on with those stones." Anissina's best method for dealing with unpleasant situations was to immerse herself in work and find a way to prevent their future recurrance. Though she knew Gwendal long enough to know he was of similiar mind, but sometimes he needed the nudge from a much wiser woman.

He sat up from the bed and his bare chest was revealed as the blanket slid down to his waistline. "I would enjoy having one less thing to worry about and if the stones can be recovered before a war breaks out that would be fine by me."

She sighed heavily, "and here I wanted to tinker with those things you showed me the other day. Perhaps later if things calm down. It would be better than having one of those dignitaries wander into places they should not be." Or at least, if they did, she couldn't be responsible for anything that may or may not explode.
