"Easy now. Don't scratch it. That's it." Gwendal directed the craftsmen with supercilious efficiency; in other words, he was continuing to make a pain of himself. Gunter tried not to move around and be just a doll, even suffering the indignity of having his kimono lifted up. But then Gwen started to carry him off!

"...Um, Gwen?"

A little voice piped up and there was a wiggle and a tugging on the mans sleeve. They were now going in the opposite direction as the library and away from Gunters work.

"Hello? Gwen! Gwendal, Where are you taking me?"

"What the ...?" Gwendal stopped when he heard the voice. "Mother? Is that you?" He searched the air around him for the specter of his dearly departed mother. "Mother, what are you doing on this world? I tried my best this morning. Honestly, I did!"

The wiggling under his arm took him by surprise. "Mother, what are you ...?" He peered down anxiously to the little doll beneath his arm. Picking it up in both hands, he examined it again, closer this time without lifting the kimono.

Since this was obviously his mother come to visit him from the spirit world, he asked politely, "Where would you like to go, Mother?"

"I'm not your Mother Gwen. And I should hope that if I were you wouldn't be tripping over her in hallways either! And you didn't even ask before carrying me off!"

Gunter blinked his beady glass eyes and crossed his little arms with a huff. Seeing as the other mazoku was so addled Gunter decided to have pity on him.

"It's me Gwen. It's Gunter, Lord Gunter VonKliest. I'm possessing this doll for the time being, and I was on my way to the library..."
