Day 62, afternoon

Gunter left the dining hall, smirking when he was out of sight of onlookers. He knew it would only be a few moments before almost the entire castle would hear about what happened and he thought his small doll counterpart should at least hear it from him. He wasn't sure how he'd react, but he'd just have to see. If he was being a good little doll ( Read more... )

Something had happened last night. She was annoyed for having to find out hours after the fact, and by being greeted by two dead bodies in her infirmary. The other healers had set them off in the corner with sheets over their heads, unsure of what to do with them until the incident was investigated. When she asked what had happened, she got nothing but vague non-answers, a few worried looks, and one brave soul (on the other side of the room) telling her to just ask Lord von Walde.

And so she set off to do just that.

She paused when she saw her father up ahe...Was that he father?

She squinted. Yes? No. But the clothes... She rubbed her eyes. Whatever.

Gunter heard footsteps behind him as he approached the door and turned to see who was there. He smiled warmly at Gisela as he started to turn the doorknob. "Gisela, how are you today?"

"Fine," she said shortly, stepping up to him and scrutinizing him closely, trying to figure out which one he was without being too obvious. "And you? Did you need to speak with Gwendal as well? Do you know what happened last night? There are bodies."

Gunter sighed. "I've had quite an eventful day. But I'm aware of the events that transpired last evening. Perhaps it is best if we discuss things inside. There is a lot to talk about." He opened the door and stepped inside not knowing who or what he'd find. He did hope to find a hard working doll.

"Is it really okay? I can find something else, if it doesn't suit you."

It had taken her quite a while to find and settle on this piece, and after the gift he had given her, she had worried it wasn't good enough.

"Oh yes, it's lovely! Whenever I wear it I'll tell everyone my talented daughter got it for me! You have such wonderful taste in fashion."

The hair clip was much too large for him to wear as a doll or he would have put it on right then to show her how pleased he was with it.

"I should take it back to my room and put it somewhere safe right away. I wouldn't want anything to happen to it."

His expensive clothes and jewelry from the ball had been recovered by his double but he had yet to see what state they were in. He may have to have them replaced and just not mention it to her. And his Maoh plushie! He still had to get that back!

She shook her head at the compliment, but didn't voice her objection. Fashion wasn't something she particularly enjoyed, and she didn't think her so-called "talent" was anything to brag about. But she was happy he seemed to like it so much (it would be easier to tell if he had more facial features).

"Do you need help getting it there? I don't mind." She made as if to pick him up again, but waited for permission.
