I knew there was something up. If you get people to sign up it gives you more ranks!.. What a cheap way to make more money.

... well, it's actually harder than it sounds Leo. Do you really think there are 4 people that want to join the Navy? Most people would rather choose Army, (like Bade) just to get into service faster or because they think (someone else I know) that they are serving a higher purpose when they are gunning someone down and watching their friends get shot at just because they love paintball and airsoft and want that lifestyle.

There's competition in recruiting, it's not easy or cheap (and its like working for free), PLUS you can only gain ranks through recruiting until you get to E-3 (which is a basic seaman), E-1 is Seaman Recruit, E-2 is Apprentice, and E-3 is where you want to be before you get to boot camp. After E-3 is reached, all you get is a paper accommodating your success per six recruits throughout the semesters. You won't get promoted for just recruiting after E-3.

I'm a Navy mink myself. The service is a great way to serve your country, been serving for 9 years myself, and have few regrets. The main regret is extended time away from my family, but it's a price I knew I would pay going into it, so I accept it. You will have experiences you will treasure for a lifetime. I wish you well.

I don't think I'd ever wanna waist any of my time away from my family. They have always been there for me even in my times of need. I treasure the time I get to spend with them more then anything else in the world. We are only born to die anyways. Why not spend it with the people who care most about you. I know the country doesn't care whether you die or not. That is why they send the soldiers to war. This is why they start the battles.
