People from my high school built a trebuchet back in '05, the pictures and video just got posted to the internet.

Makes me want to built one at the Make Shop. Maybe we could fling things at the Lowe Mill?

Hey. I saw your comm post about a mini-Maker's Faire here in HSV? I didn't know that there was a Makers group here, WOW! Sucks that I can't attend this weekend, but are these regular? I'm going to the Faire in Austin in a few weeks, but it would be cool to trade some of my embedded knowledge or solder skills with someone who can help me find my way around a circular saw. It's the big shit that scares me. When is the next one planned? Thanks in advance!

Aw man! I would love to have someone else to talk circuits with :)

Fellow makers meet up at the shop frequently through the week, and almost every Saturday around 1:00 we're in there working on projects :)

We've also got an IRC channel running that most of the people from the Make Shop chat in, there's some instructions on the web page on how to access it in the 'about us' section if you get bored at work :)
