First Geocaching

Yesterday Sara, myself, Ray and Nathan took a spontaneous Makers Local outing to go Geocaching.
We found two at the Lowe Mill, and one at the Cracker Barrel on University.

I had been meaning to do this for a long time with devilturnip, but by the time I got around to calling him back he had moved to some coastal country.

I went geocaching once with some friends back in 2003 (I bought a GPS that evening for it), and in 2005, a friend of mine showed me where a couple of geocaches were at Madison Square Mall and at UAH, but we didn't have our GPSes then.

I used my TomTom, and it didn't really do that great of a job.
I guess it's designed for car travel more than pedestrian applications (even though it has a pedestrian mode).

Nathan's $22 pawn shop GPS from the early 90's did a much better job.
