So I have started playing EverQuest again thanks to EQ EMU. I actually made a post before stating my desire for EverQuest to finally die in hopes that SOE would release the code for it. I didn't actually want to play again because my only interest in it is nostalgia, and I want be able to have god mode and run to see zones that I never got to see ( Read more... )

supposedly the graphics are being updated this fall... and the flagging shit is being repealed so everything from over like 2 expansions ago is level based access ... and besides, it only takes a week or two to get to 65 now. that's casual.

I doubt that, I made a character on a x10 group exp emu server a couple days ago and I am only level 57. That's with being able to teleport to any zone and starting with a GM item that let me one shot everything until the 40s.

What kind of graphic upgrade are they doing? I sort of don't want a graphic upgrade since it would ruin the nostalgia, I'm already debating wether or not to disable the new character graphics. Although I think replacing some of the pixalated old world textures wouldn't be a bad thing. I wouldn't want them to replace the trees or fire though. Seeing them how they are now is just too amusing.
