Is California fully winner take all in the primaries? Or by district? I know it's winner take all for the election, but I'm not too sure about the primaries.

As I mentioned in the edit at the top, I found out that it's a winner-take-all for the Republicans, a by-district for the Democrats. And finding out that information was very difficult and confusing.

Yea. Sorry Omaha. I had it open on my screen to reply, walked away, time passed, returned, made the comment...and THEN saw the edits. My goof.

Every state is proportional for the Democrats. That's why almost any lead at this stage is nearly impossible to overcome. Hillary certainly couldn't erase Obama's lead of right around 120 at this point in 2008, for example. Hillary's lead over Sanders is more than twice that. Sanders would need ridiculous margins in CA and NJ to even come close, meaning Hillary is almost certain to emerge on 6/14 with a clear majority of pledged delegates.

I understand the California Dreaming of Sanders fans. I wish no ill will. Math is math, but that's why they hold the elections.
