John threw a towel, starting himself as it shattered a glass. He sighed and crouched to clean the mess, leaving the bar-front seemingly unattended.

He started again, sighing when it was only the good doctor.

"Beckett. You don't have to...I've got it."

"Nothing," he grunted, holding out a receptacle for the broken shards of glass; brushing himself off as he got to his feet. "I was just goofing off."
