There is something so beautifully stream of consciousness about this, and how it just keeps building on and on with that gradually heightening feeling of dread in my stomach. I love how you explored all the thoughts (or maybe lack of them, something more like instinct, or fraying sanity) behind all the tiny moments of Gina we got in the series and every feeling you gave her seemed so right it's hard to believe it didn't happen on screen.

This has to be one of the nicest comments I've ever gotten. Visceral and physical reactions are something I always notice when I really enjoy a fic, so to know that I elicited that reaction from someone is really gratifying, to hear that you also feel it could've happened on the screen? Amazing! Thank you so much for such a sweet review, and I'm glad you enjoyed the fic!

That was wonderful. Great idea and execution. Fifteen minutes to make peace in her mind. Love the them all having the mistaken idea that death ends feelings and allows for a clean slate. So glad your love of sixes is coming out in fic. Can't imagine anyone better to write them.

I've got a love of the Sixes coming out the ying yang, so I was just glad to have an outlet! I'm glad you enjoyed it- it wasn't easy to write, but it got into my head and it was so necessary. (And not only because there's so little Cain/Gina out there.)

I love the play on memory and how it does and doesn't change anything. One of the interesting things about the Cylons is how they don't own their memories in the same way humans do. Both can 'misremember', but with downloading and the ability of any member of the line accessing the memory Cylons can do what humans can't - share memories. In some ways, I always wondered how much of Gina's insistence on dying away from the possibility of resurrection was an attempt to preserve new found sense of individuality and privacy as much as a desire not to live with her memories.

You bring up a good point with the way that Cylons have a totally different relationships with their memories and how they're able to share them than humans. Humans have to explain things to others, whereas it appears that Cylons can actually share memories, which is hard to even wrap your mind around. I think at least a part of Gina's desire to not resurrect would be to keep the bad memories away from her siblings, to protect them from those horrors, because damn. No one needs to know more about that than necessary, and accessing those memories just to see what Gina was up to and getting that sort of blow? That would be awful.

Oh, wow. This is gorgeous and heartbreaking. I love the fragmented structure of it and that Gina can't quite get the memories right and that she finally understands that you can love after death.

I'm glad you linked to this.

Aw, thank you so much for reading! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Gina's emotions at this point in canon are so fascinating to me, because D: D: D:, the poor little lamb. I just want to hug her forever.

Wow.

Just, wow. This entire story is so incredibly heartbreaking and wow, do I ever feel for Gina. I felt for her before, but this puts her on an entirely different level.

This is exactly what I wanted to see out of a Helena/Gina fic. Thank you so much for writing it.

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! There is some great AHC/G fics out there, you just have to hunt for them.

And feeling for Gina is one of the hardest things this show ever does. Poor baby.
