This was almost hard to read, because gosh do I ever HURT for Gina, but it was beautiful at the same time. This captures my view of both of them perfectly (love your use of the deleted scene too) and gah, the last sentence. It never totally resonated with me until now how meaningful it was for her to have *a choice*. It's such a tragic one, but it's hers.

For some reason two nights ago I watched all the scenes Gina had after she left Pegasus, and then last night I watched them again, because they stay with you. I had the same thought: she had never once had the opportunity to make a choice about her life before, and now she was going to have her chance. And Gina's story is probably the most tragic one offered by BSG, which is really saying something.
