This was absolutely gorgeous. So them. So touching and beautiful. I love this entire idea.

She opens her eyes to study him a moment before saying, "Yes, you crossed the street without looking," and it's vaguely accusing, as if she would rebuke him if she thought it would do any good. Her eyes slide shut again and she squeezes his hand. "So now you'll know not to be so careless."

Sigh. Good stuff.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the idea- I was worried that it would seem too cheesy, all OMG THEY ARE TEH SOOOOOULMATES, so I'm happy it worked for you.

The idea of them losing each other and finding each other over and over again just breaks my heart and makes me so hopeful at the same time. And that part at the end where Bill wonders whether she's just making it up, and him wanting to believe it anyway--gorgeous, heady stuff.

He wants to know if it's true, if there is more than one chance, if time and again he will meet Laura, her soul gleaming regardless of her body, a beacon to his own.

I'd like to believe it's true. <3 Great job on this.

It really is a heartbreakingly beautiful thing to think- they'll keep losing and finding one another over and over again, because they're destined, and, really, it's only fair that Laura gets to be Team NonWidow this time. And Bill can't help it- Laura makes him want to believe.

Thank you for reading!
