Because he's having to spend so much time in various court rooms? (defending his GIGANTIC BLOCKBUSTER of a novel from everyone who thinks they can remotely claim to have had the central idea first and get some 'easy' money, right?)
Me too--even with all the whining by people (who've yet to see the movie, mind you) about casting Tom Hanks--and about his hair (like whaddup wit'dat?)
Yes, were I in charge I would have cast someone else in the lead role. As it turns out, I'm not in charge of casting. So I'm past that. I've moved on. Now I just want to enjoy the movie. Paul Bettany is in it ("A Knight's Tale", "A Beautiful Mind"). And Alfred Molina ("Magnolia", "Spider-Man 2"). And Jürgen Prochnow ("Dune" [original], "The Seventh Sign"). And Sir Ian McKellen, who could read me the phone book. No joke.
As for Tom Hank's (not Robert Langdon's) hair... so what, fire the stylist? Not much to be done about it now that filming's done...
Have you read Angels & Demons? His prequel to the Da Vinci Code. Pretty interesting though again ireverent towards the catholic church. I am looking forward to the movie, simply because of the talent involved in making it. The book was a good novel no matter what the controversy it stirred up, but based on many premises we know now to be totally fabricated.
