I've figured out what Arlington Cinema Drafthouse needs. They need to borrow Alamo Drafthouse's chefs... *sigh*

HARRY POTTER Feast!

Then again, I just saw on Alamo's newsletter that they're going to open one in Winchester later this year. It's worth the 2-hour drive, especially if they come up with events like the Harry Potter feast and the Read more... )

*lol* Knowing what our tabs often run at the Arlington CnD, the tab at the Alamo might not be too terribly far off but a $60.00 tix is a bit steep, especially if drinks aren't included - even if the food is good. The CnD isn't my idea of a "fine dining experience" though regadless of the menu. Fun but not fine. ;)

You went to one of the original Hobbit Feast in Austin, yes? Was it as expensive?

I think the one we went to was $88. But everything was included, and service was awesome, so I thought it was worth it... :)

To be fair, it is a 5-course meal.

The Hobbit feast was all 7 meals, so the price was just about right.

Hmmmm, thought I had posted something last night but maybe I didn't hit the send key.

Original comment paraphrased: While I LOVE the place, service and the Arlington don't exactly equate in my head. It's not bad, usually, but I couldn't really see paying the bucks for a(ny) 5-courser and the movie there.

I forgot the Hobbit feast in Austin was all 7 meals (and all three movies) though - that's a bit different indeed.
