Michigan Republicans plan to foreclose African American voters

Um, that's crazy. I registered a few weeks back at my JP address and my confirmation came back with my last name spelt wrong (added an extra letter) ... when I called the elections department they looked me up, said it was fine and that I'd probably get another confirmation (um, OK ...). I'm still skeptical and kinda worried that I'll be turned away. I think next time I'm downtown I'll visit the elections department in person.

And they're telling college kids that they have to go home to vote.

Since I live in Michigan, I'm looking forward to someone stopping me from voting.

But this is what happens when your secretary of state is a Republican.

It's rather sad. The majority of the state is Republican, but Detroit is strong enough to carry the Democratic vote for it.

It is. I think they know we'll be watching the electronic voting really closely this year, since there have been published research papers on how easy they are to crack.

While I'm looking forward to fighting for my right to vote, I'm really truly hoping that I will not have resort to violence to be able to vote. However that is the stance me and my room mate are taking.
