You've known me for a long time and how I feel about this, but this is a really really stupid move on South Dakota's part. It'll head to the Supreme Court, it'll be declared unconstitutional, and this debate won't show up in the courts again for the next 50 years.

Case closed. South Dakota gets a moment in the spotlight, sanctimonious assholes on either side get to grandstand, and everyone's distracted from shit that actually needs to be discussed.

That's the rub-- people are hoping that, with our new conservative judges, it WON'T be ruled unconstitutional.
