[he doesn't notice there's a message waiting for him until a few days later. he doesn't know how he missed the tiny blinking light on his sphere, but upon seeing who the message was from, he decides to wait until the others have gone to sleep before he ventures into the forest to listen to it in private.]

[he couldn't help laughing happily seeing her face again and grinned back at the image as she spoke. but the longer she spoke, the more that smile became twinged with sadness until it finally disappeared all together. he knew it was childish and ridiculous to avoid her like that, but he knew it really was for the best, especially if they didn't want something to happen between them that they'd both regret in the morning.]

[still though...he'd been happy that day and owed her more than what he gave her in the end. he could have predicted that pattern better, knew when she'd leave so he could send her off with a proper good-bye at least before ollie became his ollie again--but really, they were both his ollies
