[Olivia is sitting on the beach in shorts and a tank top (with the straps of the bikini she is wearing underneath visible). Aside from the fact that she is still very female, a couple other odd features may draw attention. She has a rather nasty purpulish bump on her left temple. Also, if one were looking closely, they might notice a scar

A party? [It's a strange time to be having a party, though... HRM.] Why?

[grins] Why not? It'll be fun!

So-- so nothin' special happened?

[oliverplus]

[shakes her head] Not really. Why? Did something special happen to you?

A beach party? Do you really think that's a good idea? You don't know what could be in the water - there's a good chance it isn't made for humans to swim in. Besides, don't you think we could be doing something more constructive like trying to get the ship stable again?

[oliverplus]

Ah, are you new here? We've been in and out of the water for...a couple weeks now, I think. Don't worry; it's perfectly safe.

[frowns] I don't think there's anything we can do for the ship--unless it decides to fix itself. And a lot of us have gotten supplies and shelters going. Don't get me wrong; I know there are plenty important things for us to do. But we can't be working all the time! Right?

[sempervirgo]

[brought down a notch visibly for being wrong about the water]

Well, if we slack around all the time, then nothing will ever change. How can you treat this as some kind of vacation? Being new has nothing to do with it.

[oliverplus]

[gives her a look; was there any need to be so offensive?] Then please don't talk to me like I haven't been in the ship gathering supplies or helping set up shelters. If you're not interested in a morale boost, there's nothing to say you have to come.

[Standing at the edge of the water just close enough so that the waves are able to wash over her feet. The bottom of her dress is gathered up in her hands so as to avoid it getting wet.]

[notices her and stands, coming up behind] Oh, I didn't see you there! Hello!

[Has a scar as well! It looks suspiciously like a bullet wound in the middle of the clover on her chest.]

[smiles] I don't think we've met. I'm Olivia.

[Beach party? What what? Ammy comes up to snuffle at her leg. Where did those scars come from?

And personal space? What's that?]

[oliverplus]

Whoa, Ammy! [jumps, laughing; his nose is cold!] That tickles! Is there something down there?

[celestial_okami]

[He backs off a little when she flinches, then bumps her scar with his nose. Looking up at her, he whines.]

[oliverplus]

[frowns, realizing what he means; despite her attempts, she's still self-conscious enough that she was rather hoping no one would ask] Oh, don't worry about that, Ammy. [smiles reassuringly] That happened a couple years ago. I'm okay, really.

[grins] I'm surprised you're not here already!

I was hanging round by the ship, actually. If you're still after those real drinks and some ice.... [Grins mischievously as he jerks a thumb to the ship in the background]
