Yeah, I'm gonna find him, too! Are you coming yet? I can't believe you've stayed away this long, Doctor! You're usually the first person into these things. Well, except when you're second. I beat you sometimes.

[pinches the bridge of his nose--he can almost feel a headache coming on. and he's sure Oliver's too far gone to notice that he can do this now with his newly healed nose and fingers.]

Yes, yes, good for you. How about you tell me, Mister Sometimes First, what it's like in there. Use all your senses. [hopes for some common sense, but thinks that's almost a lost cause.]

Ohhh, it's awesome up here, Doctor! There are halls and doors all over. Like, literally all over! You open a door, and there's another hall! [goes over to a nearby door to demonstrate] See? It's so cool! And...all my senses? [scratches his head] It feels like a bunch of halls with a bunch of doors. And I guess it's a little musty, maybe. And ohhh the music! Can you hear it? [grabs the sphere and waves it around, as if that'll help, and starts humming with the tune a bit before he lets the sphere go] Isn't that great? It plays all the time here!

Why would it be playing out there? You've been out there. The music's another awesome part of the maze!

I've got my string, you silly boy. I can tie it out here and then use it to come and find you. [mutters to self] And hopefully not run out of it before I do...

What for? This way, I can keep searching, and I might find your string!

No. We don't know how big that place is. If you keep moving around while I'm trying to find you, we could get even more lost and then where will we be, hmm? Lost in a maze, or a...a labyrinth and that damn Captain's in the center. Let's just hope there isn't a Minotaur skulking about.

Well, you would make a rather good Theseus! I'd say the TARDIS could be your Ariadne, but she only takes you where you want to go when she feels like it...

[sits down, fishing in his backpack and pulling the rubik's cube back out]

[wonders about this as he ties off the ends of the string onto a keypad outside the door. he can already hear traces of the music, but he quickly shoves earplugs into his ears--top of the line ones, of course, to completely close off all noise. all he can hear now is the beating of his hearts.]

Ollie? [shouts this, not realising that he's doing so.] I'm coming to get you, alright? Listen for me!

[raises an eyebrow at him, trying to figure out why he's yelling all of a sudden] Well, I'm not so close the entrance that I could hear you yet. But okay, I'm listening!

[frowns, quickly seeing the flaw in his plan as he enters the maze-like hallway. the ball of string unravels slowly in his pocket as he walks and then chooses a door to go through.] I'm going to need you to look right at the Sphere when you talk, Ollie. I can't hear you--can't hear anything right now as a matter of fact, so I'm going to have to read your lips. Do you understand?
