Sean's 2 year checkup

Sep 28, 2011 17:19

We brought Sean for his 2-year checkup last weekend.

Since he was quite apprehensive during his last visit to the paed, I read to him a few pages from The Complete Book of First Experiences that I just got for him on our way to the clinic ( Read more... )

Yeah I fully intend to use the book again for the new baby, first day of school and going to the dentist. Sean is definitely not as clueless as before so I think it helps when we explain what is to come!

Hi this is not related but can you share the moisturiser spf that you use on your face? I have sensitive skin too and lifelong sinus...still cant find a good moisturiser / spf combo.

I have sensitive skin too and have found SKII's UV Protect Essence to suit my skin best (no breakouts, no oiliness, etc). Been using it (with the rest of the SKII range) for years! It's expensive but hey it works :) I use Kiehl's Ultra Moisturising Facial Wash as well.

Just find something that suits your skin and stick with it - good luck!

Sean's PD anonymous September 29 2011, 03:24:34 UTC
Hi hi! I've been lurking about in your blog and I've posted comments once or twice, but don't think you'll remember! ;p but hi again! And congrats on baby #2!!!

Could I ask you about Sean's PD? Would you recommend her? I've been rather displeased with my son's PD, so it'd be nice to know which are the good PDs out there!

Thanks!! :)

Yes I had a few friends who recommended our PD to us and we really like her so far! She points out little things that we never notice about our own child, is very patient with our gazillion concerns and questions and is very gentle and kind (somehow the last point is very important to me!).

She is quite busy esp on weekends so we usually try to schedule for appointments way in advance and be the first to arrive in her office!

PS. Thanks for your other really sweet note. It was a very encouraging read for me, esp with all the changes ahead! :)

Hi

I just wanted to share that my eldest boy has enzema and would require special pillows, shampoo and shower gel. It was really bad when he was younger, he used to get big swollen fingers and hives.

Till I switched him to Sebamed for his shower, make sure the house is clean and most importantly I change my washing powder to something more gentle, much like baby detergent.

Perhaps its also the fact that he's older now. So his body is more able to cope with it. :)

So you might want to change the washing detergent... :)
I am sure it will get better as he grows. :)

He has outgrown his eczema (though it does flare up again when he is sick sometimes).

I suspect he has allergic rhinitis like I do - it hasn't shown any signs of improvement at all though now we are better at managing the triggers (dust, sudden bright light, change of environment, etc). Not a big issue but just very irritating problem to have sometimes ;)

Actually, I am quite keen to bring him to see a Chinese physician just to get a different opinion.

I am really hoping #2 is spared from all this!
