with 2 home-made screens, we now have achieved cross-ventilation without flies everywhere. it is a wonderful thing.

Are flies really a huge problem over there? Is it humid? Are you near the coast?

My European geography is, well, crap.

It's not that they're a *huge* problem, but when I left the window open for an hour or 2, there were 5-6 big flies buzzing around the house. Kinda annoying when you're trying to program.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit odd that there were no screens in the windows...
