A few of the local restaurants still have signs "no guns allowed". By contrast, certain enlightened pizza chains actually support lawful carry for their employees and customers. I am giving them a preference in my future food shopping.
Got one opening in the Marietta area, which isn't too far from Kennesaw - where I live. Gonna check them out when it opens up. Perhaps see if GCO will give them a sticker for the door.
See, Oleg, now you have to come to visit me. There's a Jet's Pizza about 5 miles from my house. I'll buy! :) Next time you're in Minnesota, let's see if we can arrange to get together.
When Missouri passed its CCW law several years ago, signs went up on establishments all over the place, prohibiting firearms. As expected, attrition has caused most of these to come down, along with the fact that CCW is no longer in the forefront of the news. The signs are unattractive (due to the size requirement and the reminder of guns), shops change ownership, entries are redecorated, etc.
In St. Louis, there are two big grocery chains. One was openly anti-gun. They posted signs on all the stores when the CCW law came out, and there were documented contributions to anti-gun organizations before that. However, in recent months, that chain quietly removed all their signs. One would like to hope that pressure from consumers eventually caused the change. It's possible that opinion simply swayed within management. In either case, it goes to show that our activism does bear fruit eventually.
