In theory, ball ammunition isn't all that accurate. 2MOA is typical dispersion.

45gr varmint JHPs had wider dispersion, I suspect that 1:9 barrel was too tightly twisted for them.
For what it's worth, I get the same problem with 45gr in a 1:9 and have reached the same conclusion.

Yeah. Small group stuff is highly addicting. Here's 5 rounds of 150gr .30-06 at 100:

Not sure I could match the same level of performance today though. I was 17 years younger then and shooting many more rounds per week on average.
