What a suck experience for such a shit band.

What sucks worse is that I'll wager by morning you'll be inundated with people defending their actions because "omg vnv is great and ronan is a great guy it's prolly ur fault"

Sorry br0.

The amusing thing is the number of people I spoke with at the "after-party" at Town, who'd had similar experiences. One girl was denied the opportunity to shoot during a previous show of theirs, even *after* she'd already done an interview with them for a magazine. And another person told me about how she'd gone on their boat cruise, and was promised a free CD and a couple other insignificant pieces of swag, but when she asked about the items later was completely snubbed and blown off.

Karma. One of these days it'll come back around...

Weird; I'm reminded of the last time VAST played how there was a strict lockdown on photography, largely because the guy from VAST turned into John Popper with a beard.

I'd say this is similar, but he was encouraging people to take photos of them, plus everyone already knows that he's a lumpy fuck to begin with, so I cannot really fathom what the hell.

That's funny, last time I saw Vast (about three years ago) all sorts of people were taking pictures. But... Yeah. I see what you mean. ;-p

:)

Sorry about all this Mike. :/ There's nothing worse than having one of your idols personally let you down. Recommendation: Write them a REALLY detailed email about what happened, and why you're upset.

I thought about this, but figured it probably would never get to them. I'm sure they have some boot-licking toady who's job it is to screen out any negative messages prior to reaching the ears of "the almighty".

And even if I somehow was able to make a point, then what? Say he offered me guest-list for their next show in the area, or something, but what's to stop him from continuing to be this rude to other people? After what I've heard, it's much easier for me to re-evaluate my loyalties than it is to affect an attitude adjustment in someone else. :-/

I was actually going to suggest writing a letter to Metropolis; if you had a press pass, you shouldn't have had ANY trouble like that. The label would probably like to know that a) the artist acted like that and b) the venue kicked you out even with credentials.

FYI, I'm sure "DRMA 101" is probably available from the DMV. :)

FURONAN is available.

I didn't even bother to go. Now I am particularly glad.

At least Domi ran into Jen and she told Domi to say hi to me.

Aww. :)

I like Jen. She's always been real nice to me at their previous shows. It's people like her, and Brittany & Jim from I:Scintilla, not to mention you guys, Jsun, etc., are sort of what I envision musicians, artists, to be like. Just don't get so big that you forget where you came from, lol. ;-)
