i cut off all my hair because he told me not to, because the first time we met was just after I cut off all of my hair and so it's length belonged to him in some way but I couldn't let him own my body the way he has owned every other piece of me.

you write beautifully.

I can see what you're saying. These stupid men can't be the catalyst to anything I'm learning, it all has to come from us, can't let them get any of our power. Especially our maternal power they always want to suckle on so badly.

I am wearing a crop top right now.

Wearing it for five months? Do you take it off when you take a shower or go to bed, or is it always with you like a wedding band?

i wear it all the time, even in the shower and going to bed.

ive been wearing really tight short t shirts made out of thick material, awkwardly shaped with dorky shorts that go up too high and my butt looks too big.

Maybe your ring will be a very different ring in two years?
Haha, I only wear things that go up too high on my waist, I look forever stalky, stumpy and short. It's too hard for me to care anymore. I kinda like it...

Samira Makhmalbaf "The Apple" or "Sib" She directed it when she was some insanely young age, I think 17 or 18, using leftover film stock from one of her father's films. It's a really amazing film too.

I have it on my computer but I have not seen it yet. This was shown at Cannes I think. I love Makhmalbafs!!! I just bought 3 movies from Abbas Kiarostami. He is my favorite :) I so want to travel to Iran!
Also this is amazing!!!

I think you can find it from youtube but the quality on piratebay version was better.

ps. I have an interview tomorrow for the best film school in Finland...somewhat 140 applied and they took 20 for the interview...if they like me I will make 13 different kind of tests and tasks and then in the end they choose 2 or 1 or maybe no one...I am so nervous. I SO want this!

Just rented The House is Black. I've seen Taste of Cherry, but I wasn't too crazy about it actually...

Whoa! Good luck on your interview, that sounds like a lot of pressure, I'm sure you'll do great!

I've noticed such a switch since I cut my hair. its been short-ish for almost a year now, and the male attention I get is very different, by a different type of man (if that makes sense... )there is something so maternal and goddess like affiliated with long hair, I think.

That makes me feel real weird. It's bizarre how those changes affect so much, I wish people could just only see my aura, my insides, something real when they encounter me, it's so uncomfortable, this fumbling of hair and nails and fat or not fat enough tits you know? It's unreal to me. I just changed my part of my hairline and I've seen a difference in the ways boys react to me. I dress like a lil' calvinist pilgrim when I go swimming for Christ's sake. Who cares about a body?
