At least a partial update since getting ashore...

Heck no. I vote Connor shove him off. That's ridiculous! (Can you tell I'm a "sports mom"?) Seriously, the maddest I ever got was in taekwondo sparring when my son was 7. He was sparring a black belt about 5 years older who kicked him in the head HARD. I was furious. But then I saw my son head back to the ring with this determined expression on his face. He kicked that kid HARD in the chest. I cheered much more enthusiastically than was probably wise.

Also, I have to keep quiet in any game where my son is playing. My son and husband have told me my comments are not helpful. I'm not mean, but I do not hesitate to let people know when they aren't playing fair. I'm big on "fair."

Glad you made it safely to shore, although I laughed pretty hard at the "solicitations" you had to brush off. That image is priceless.

The wonderful thing about making a mistake is that this time next month, no one will remember it. Except maybe you. Don't fret!

One thing I have noticed is that corporate memory is a lot better (worse?) about remember the bad stuff than they are about the good. As of that nature of the beast isn't enough, things like the shipment being wrong and the forgotten step from the contract have to be entered into our quality tracking web based database as a project low. The idea behind that is to eventually improve the overall project management for all projects via "lessons learned"
