NOW (!!!) I don't have to buy that expensive amplified television antenna, I WAS planning on purchasing a few days ago, and I CAN now watch HDTV-uninterrupted, due to my new upconverted DVD recorder(that has a converter built-in).
Question: Do I STILL have to buy that advertised television converter?

If you've got a digital TV (HD or not) with a built-in ATSC tuner, you don't need the converter box. The converters are just for analog-only TVs.
