Tent State University is a week long outdoor outdoor university shaped by students, workers and community members. This movement started at Rutgers University three years back, and has been travelling to different public campuses across the US since. Awesome doesn't even seem to capture the idea and the concept. Had a thoroughly delightful time browsing through the site and the idea. You must be feeling so completely thrilled at being a part of such a space. I think academia needs to go back to realising that the biggest power of knowledge is in the democratisation of knowledge.

Thanks :-) I thought knew you'd like the idea. Am glad you enjoyed browsing the site and yes, am thrilled no end to be a part of this space! But, am also a little disappointed that my fellow science graduate-students for the large part don't seem to share the excitement. Oh well, maybe they'll change their minds once it actually kicks off.
