We found a monitor in one such junkyard ! Also, u could see if your univ has a surplus auction program.

Managed to scrounge a monitor off the dept networking folks! This is going to take some getting used to though - my poor laptop isn't much of a laptop anymore, but is now firmly confined to the desk, but it still works, so I guess I should be thankful for small mercies.. :)

It's more like who? His Esteemed Holiness Sri Sri Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. but more on that later.. No deal on the bulb, I'm stuck with using my laptop as a desktop - so be it..
