Many people are familiar with Vincent Price's TV and movie career, but I bet few would know that he was quite the OTR star back in the day, appearing on Escape, Suspense and The Saint. The character in Tim Burton's "Vincent" was pretty much me in junior high; I'd known about his radio career (particularly his performances of "Three Skeleton Key", on Escape and Suspense), but hadn't known about The Price of Fear; thank you for the heads-up--all the more with that time of year rolling around.

In return: it was only a couple years ago that I learned of this particular combination of performer and song--which unfortunately suffers from a sweetened poppy arrangement that mutes Pickett's original punchy beat:

Hehe, that was always the great thing about Vincent Price - he was timeless! This is a pretty cool video...I wouldn't have guessed it was from 1977 because he looks so good.

The timing was quite coincidental - I have been meaning to post this for some time. My favourite episode so far is the one about the restaurant. Heheh!
