Man, it has been hot and dry here in North Georgia for days on weeks now. There's rumor of a complete water ban on lawns. Kakuro requires not only Sudoku skills but arithmatic ones as well.

Interesting! At school I was excellent at maths! I would also say 'This is my kind of puzzle' if I at least know what it is and how it looks like. But as far as I familiar with Japanese sense of life - their charm is in that they never betray your anticipation.

But also I think one should not be crazy of numbers in practical life. I think this is 'false' methodology when someone tries to find answers and start his/her voyage like Pushkin's Herman in "Queen of Spades" with - O give me the numbers! The Old Lady replies - '3, 7 and the Ace!!! and it is not a wise method to apply it outside of opera. People have a tendency to build idols. Numbers are innocent and obedient to God but people are fool and wicked. But not all of course. And in any way their goodness does not look for its shelter in numbers as they can be more trick than even their master: Neither fish nor flesh if I understand the meaning of this english proverb.

Numbers are good to play with them, while words are good to be used for poetry and relations. I love poetry more then numbers because it has a right to subordinate them when they become ruleless - I mean the poetry of King David.
