It's been a long time since I wrote anything about spiritual work, except insofar as it's all spiritual work. I've quit encouraging people because I've discovered that if you pursue the path of knowledge, impeccably and with perfect diligence, regardless of where it leads, sooner or later you're going to get the horrors. Thanks! My birthday this year coincided with our sabbath. Conventional religion has given the sabbath a grim reputation, so I usually need to explain that for us, at least, it's a day reserved to drugs, sex and rock'n'roll, or such among them as are accessible at the time. It was great!

Spirit derives from the [latin?] word which means or also means "life" [I think].

Like I say, it's all spiritual work. The self-conscious kind that we call spiritual work goes best when it's informed by the material of our everyday lives. Societal convention dictates otherwise, but of course society has an interest in discouraging people from seeing the truth.
