Judgment day postponed

The end is not upon us. The ancient prophets (of whatever cultural tradition) couldn't see the cracking of the genome, so neither could they see a world built on genetic technology. Seeing nothing, they inferred the end.

Well, that's a relief.

Learned today that Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band is playing locally in an indoor venue. Had a look-see because I thought it would be way cool to attend a REAL “Beatles” concert at least once in my life. But noooo. Tickets start at $270, range up to $780, and those are for the nose-bleed seats! Obviously, I found out about it too late.

So do I scream, “THOSE TICKETS ARE TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE!”?

Nope. I say, “I can’t afford that,” and move on, not really caring that what I hadn’t planned on doing an hour ago isn’t going to happen anyway.

It's been a while. Hope you're well, John.

Hasn't been a while, it's been a long while. So long, in fact, that I forgot I had to sign my last post!

Good to see you here! _wind_spirit_ and I just got back from the People's Republic of Berkeley last night! Today is our day for drugs, sex and rock'n'roll! (Alone, that is, not in big groups like in Berkeley!) The drugs account for the exclams! We'll catch up whenever!

Oh my gosh, what exquisite timing! I'll never understand these synchronicities, yet here we are! And, as regards the Klingon battle cry ("Today is a good day to die!"), I like yours much better! Way better!

Love and good thoughts to Wind Spirit, too, of course!
