The ophthalmologist confirmed my self-diagnosis: posterior vitreous detachment. He says the best course is to get used to it. I was almost blind before the detachment; but even now, I'm not blind enough to impress an ophthalmologist. I have another appointment in about a month to get fitted for prescription glasses. I knew nothing about this condition until I just read up a little on it. It sounds common but still not a good thing. I'm sorry to hear it. If you should ever become too blind to read my LJ entries, I shall call you and read them to you after I write them.

Thanks! A couple of weeks ago, I took a Zogby poll that asked, "If you could have the Internet wired directly into your brain, would you?" I answered no. This may lead me to rethink that, though it isn't yet a realistic possibility. Actually, I'm still using normal-sized fonts and a browser zoom ratio of a hundred percent, so I've got a ways to go before I need more assistance than mere magnification. My impression is that God has plans for me, and the details have yet to be revealed. Time will tell.
