this might sound kinda pathetic but i was closer to him than i was to my family, and he was my friend when i had no one else.
i've devoted several entries over the years to him. i miss him all the time. i considered him my best friend and easily one of the most intelligent people i've known in my life. i'll show you some of the other entries (they're private) if you want to see. they were very difficult for me to type because i was completely devastated by what happened and never really recovered.
as hard as it's been for little old me, i can't imagine what you and his friends and family have had to endure. he was a really great guy, and the world lost someone who could've done so much for us all.

btw, with regards to this line from your bio, "P.S. There is no god." i dunno how serious you are about that but you know there's no god when Michel's gone and we're stuck with 6 billion assholes.
