It saddens me that Keith is retiring his humorous jabs at Billo The Clown, yet I can definitely see his point, given the harsh reality of this situation

I'd wrestled with addressing the issue because I'm a weenie and I fear getting my head chewed upon, but since someone piped up I might as well go ahead.

You've voiced a lot of what I'm feeling, here. It saddens me to think that Keith would unwittingly drop his best weapon against Billo, which is making the man look like a jackass at every turn. O'Reilly has said several horrible things that made Keith TEMPORARILY drop the humor, such as when he claimed that the boy who'd been kidnapped by a pervert enjoyed the experience. But retiring the O'Reilly humor permanently? I'm not sure that's a great idea

The ultimate victory of a terrorist is to change his target's day-to-day actions and such out of fear. Collateral damage is secondary. You scare somebody into changing, you win. (This is, personally, why I think we haven't been attacked by any foreign terrorists since 9/11, they're getting their jollies off us running around like headless chickens.)
To hell with this quarantine, because Fox Noise is too stupid to get the message anyway, and they'll keep screaming until they're blue in the face and the GOP crashes and burns (and probably after that). No, I'm looking at this on a much smaller scale: namely, Bill-O the Clown Terrorist vs. Keith. If this results in Keith drastically changing the way he operates-- and believe me, after chewing on this for several hours, retiring the Bill-O humor can and WILL reach much farther than mere imitations, this could impact things like Worst Persons and Still Bushed-- then Bill-O wins. The last thing we need is for Bill-O to unzip his pants and wave about his ePeen ratings in victory

I think any bar or doctor's office that shows FoxNews is making a big mistake because the country is so split politically. Whether anyone comes right out and tells them or not, they're still losing customers, so all I'd be doing would be saying WHY I wasn't coming back instead of simply not returning. I might tell the manager I had a complaint and I'd call him when I got home, so it wouldn't look like I was doing it to make a splash.
I live in red state hell, where public TV's often assail my sensibilities with Fox News. I think your idea is pretty good, calling the manager instead of doing a face-to-face confrontation. That way, you can have a more rational talk with him/her, rather than confronting them in front of their employees, which is never a good thing.
The local McDonald's is where I usually find the TV tuned to Faux News. So I think a good argument would be to say that cable news is too depressing for such a "happy" environment. Being that we're in Tornado Alley, the Weather Channel would actually serve a practical purpose. Or Cartoon Network, to amuse the kids...ANYTHING but Fox, LOL!
I'm lucky that where I live, most places with public TV are too cheap to do anything more than basic broadcast. Most of the time it's either the local CBS affiliate or KCAL (which I believe got bought out by CBS and is considered a secondary affiliate). I think Kaiser Permanente here used to show the local Fox affiliate, but for some reason that one is... super, SUPER mild compared to Fox Noise.
One of the clinics has taken to playing Spongebob DVDs on loop. THAT is the only thing that could possibly be worse than Fox News. >_>;;
Keith is really upset because Billo The Goon kept railing against "Tiller The Baby Killer", claimed that Dr. Tiller had performed 60,000 abortions (I guess the guy had 10 offices and four arms?!?), said that all you had to do was cross Tiller's palm with $5000 and he'd "kill your baby", that Tiller has "blood on his hands", and other such pleasantries.
Now that all this hate speech helped to incite the murder of Dr. Tiller, Keith is saying it's time to "quarantine" Fox. He's also saying that he'll retire the Billo jokes, because this latest development is too serious for joking around.
